Watercolor spam

Okay well, I got this new travel watercolor brush pen majig, and I have to say it has ROCKED MY WORLD. Seriously, who know watercolor was so much fun? It caused me to do a huge amount in a short period of time, here are some (not all, as quantity ≠ quality as we know) :

You might recognize more Castiel and Molotov! With special appearances by Fred, George, and Death.
Anyway, that's all for now, I have some new things but they're not scanned yet. Will get to them soon I promise!

Things I draw on vacation

I went home this past week for Thanksgiving, and instead of doing anything productive with my homework I drew pictures of good looking people.

1. Misha Collins a.k.a. Castiel from Supernatural a.k.a. mr hunky cleft chin man.

2. Iwan Rheon a.k.a. Simon from Misfits, a fairly new British show that I absolutely love

3. COMBO Iwan and Misha! andsomecats!

4. Molotov Cocktease from Venture Bros, one of my favorite characters. Unfortunately when I drew her I didn't have a reference, so I got her costume kind of right, but also kind of wrong. Eh, we can just say she's borrowing Batman's utility belt.

And that's all for now! Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!

Modern Rockwell

One of our assignments was to modernize a classic Norman Rockwell illustration. Naturally modern = zombies. (the original is called "The Peach Crop") Done with Micron pens and watercolor on illustration board.

3D Movies

For class we had to create an illustration using three onomatopoeias, I had 'zap', 'crunch', and 'slurp'.
This is kind of how I felt watching Avatar.

Done with Micron pens and watercolor on Bristol paper (which is, btw, not good for watercolor :< )

Character Practice

Just needed to give some of my characters some love. Theo is on the left, and the middle two are Elander, he crossdresses to preform a singing act. I don't have a name for the last one, (s?)he popped out of nowhere.
Doing a lot of experimenting with pen and ink, liking how it's turning out mostly!

Johnson House

For Illustration class we had to draw based on a random quote we received. If you can't read it on the picture, it says "We had to demolish the Johnson's old house. I brought in the Bulldozers, Shovels and Cranes." So because I'm not much of a mechanics person, I decided (of course) to make it a zombie apocalypse picture.
Also I am not very good at traditional media, but I WILL GET BETTER OKAY

Sardine Kids

In Illustration we were given an article and had to create an image for it, the one I got was about an elementary school in Maryland being WAY TOO CROWDED (like 300 more kids than it was built for or something) and the kids having to have class in trailers and stuff, and not much being done about it. The sardine concept isn't too original but I'm happy with how it turned out!
